Good food and good service.
love thier Gyros, and the cucumber sauce!!!
Not good. They don't even have spicy oil standard in all Mediterranean cuisine
Having a BIG family can sometimes prove to be a difficult task when choosing where to eat. Today was not our first trip there but our first in quite a while since we now live away. Our server, (Maurice, not sure on the spelling) took on the challenge of our crazy, quirky family and teenagers in abundance. He kept us laughing, our drinks filled, our orders were perfect, and it’s still the best Greek food around. We left feeling like part of the family. The hummus is a must!
I have never been disappointed with the food here. Love Jim and his family.
I got the cajun pasta which was pretty good my partner got the gyro Which was awesome and I got a piece of baklava for dessert ....staff was also nice over all good experience
Best gyros in town, great burgers too. They have a bar if you want to enjoy a cocktail with lunch or dinner. Great people , give it a try youll be glad you did
Good food, nice variety, cozy environment, reasonable prices, great staff, easy to find, lots of parking.
Good service. Decent pricing. The. Ame is misleading. We were looking for Greek.food and.this did not have very Greek menu at all. They were extra friendly to our kids
Food is always good, the waiter Maurice is the best. Kids love the ice cream with the kids meals.
We found this place on Google maps. We travel through Conway on a regular basis but had never stumbled on this place before. We were delighted. How have we not heard of it? We will definitely be back. We both had the gyros and fries. Very good. We also order a couple of falafels and some humus. Both were excellent. The rest of the salads and sandwiches sounded wonderful and what we saw on other diner’s plates looked and smelled good. The place had several tables of locals and professionals having meals which is always a good sign! The wait staff was friendly and very good. The food came quickly. All was delightful. I highly recommend this lovely diner! If you appreciate this review please give me a like.
Great food selection.
Been going to Blackwood's since I was a teenager. Best gyros in town and great selection of sandwiches and burgers.
In the 20 something years I've eaten at Blackwood's, I have ordered the same thing every time, the Priakas salad. Grilled chicken, black olives, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and feta cheese. Add some warm pitas wedges and Greek dressing, and you've got nothing but YUM!
I'm originally from New York and have been looking for a good place to get gyros. I found it when I found Blackwood's it is delicious and reminds me of back home
Lamb & Beef gyro as well as that as salad Athenian Salad, in addition to French dip are always excellent.Service is ALWAYS superb, friendly, & Super. Shame fast food can NOT be of this quality. Prices very reasonable.
I love eating here. Their gyro supreme is to die for. The cheese dip is amazing. Pretty much an all around great place to eat. The new bar area really gives this place a well balanced atmosphere for someone wanting to have a beer and watch tv or a family eating in the main dining area. Glad they do what they do, keep it up
Was so amazing my plate was clear in no time
Went here for the first time today. The customer service was outstanding. Jessica was our server and she was so sweet! Made us feel like friends and not just customers. The food was great, best gyros I've had in a long time!
Love blackwoods. Jim and crew do a great job. Loving the new spot. Pool tables, music great food! Anita the manager makes sure you get taken care of.
Long standing gyro place. Best ones in state. Chicken sandwich also fantastic.
This used to be about the only place to get gyros in Conway, and it used to be a hole in the wall. They have grown, but the food is still just as good as it always has been. They have gyros, sandwiches, and salads of various Mediterranean influence. But they also have some more accessible items, like hamburgers and fries.Honestly it's a pretty typical gyro, what you'd expect if you ordered one from almost any gyro place. But it's consistently good, the place is always clean, and it's been serving good gyros for many, many years now. I've been eating here on and off for 18 years, and every gyro I order from Blackwood's is great.
I know it is a Greek restaurant at heart but their burgers are beyond excellent.
This place came highly recommended by some coworkers. It is a mixed bag, but on the good side. The food was delicious (as far as the Athenian salad with beef and their Taziki sauce goes) and reasonably priced. I did not try any dessert but will definitely go for it next time. The interior is kind of "drab" and outdated. But it is a quaint location and it even has a small bar with a TV. The wait staff left something to be desired. I had lunch with a coworker that has a "regular" status with the staff, so they were very excited to see her. But that actually gave me an unprofessional vibe since they treated her other guests (us) like we should know exactly what we want and forced some kind of dressing on us. **Overall: Good food, good price, the wait staff could use a refresher course in etiquette, but worth it.
Layla's and Blackwood's are the two best Greek restaurants in Conway. Fantastic service, selection, and prices. The gyro's are fantastic!
Hubby was still in the hospital recovering from a stroke and they were WONDERFUL! Even when I questioned nutritional values...they helped me chose a heart healthy meal for him. WE'LL BE BACK!
Excellent old school greasy dinner food and Greek offerings
Food was good. Very long wait for sandwiches. Service was a little undesirable. Long wait to check out while ticket was split and paid.
I had not been here in a few years. Happy to see that they still have quality service and food! Menu has expanded a lot since I was here last -- quite a good selection.
I always have an awesome experience at Blackwoods! It always feels like your going home to eat. Wonderful food and staff!!!
Friendly staff and atmosphere. The best gyro I've had in awhile. I've been back three times now and it's been delicious every time. Definitely recommend!
First time here and very impressed - food and service were great! Service staff were very attentive to our party of 4. We went during lunch and got there early which was a good thing because it got very crowded even though the place seats about 35.
Just got some food through bitesquad and it was AMAZING! I'm excited to try it inside the restaurant.
Great service. Better food. Sweet tea was the bomb. Cold ac. Will come back again.
My experience was not a good one. The person who took my order was rude. I believe her name was Ashley or Amy. She wouldn't look me in the face when talking. She act as if she was afraid of touching my hand when giving me change back. Maybe customer service training classes would be helpful for employees along with diversity classes.
Very pleasant staff. Facility is clean and well maintained. Some advice from a foodie. Please put sauce and toppings on the side.Customers I'd recommend visiting during peak time I think the food would be better.
I love a good gyro, and I try new places like this often, but always come back to blackwood's because there is no competition! It's a bit pricey, but well worth it!
Used to work here on and off when I was younger. Love the food loved working there as well. I kind of miss the place. Next time I go home I will definitely stop in and grab a gyro burger or a gyro itself.
Best gyros around. Always friendly service. The owner is a very genuine guy, you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
Absolutely wonderful food. Best Gyros i have had in the south. Wish there was one in Russellville. But 30 minutes is nothing for the food and the great service of this establishment.
The last time I ordered them thru bitesquad they were out of mozzarella sticks, recently I got hammered drunk on my birthday and ordered from them again, this time, I called ahead to ask if they had mozzarella sticks in a very obvious drunken slur "because it's my birthday and mozzarella sticks are my top comfort happy food..." the girl on the other line giggled and assured me they had them, I thanked her with all the sincerity of an emotional drunk.my food arrives, and theres a lovely lil note wishing me a happy birthday!!Thanks guys, you made my night!
Great food ...great service
Great food! Hands down best gyro in town!! Was a little cramped during the lunch rush but the service was really good. Can't wait until they get moved to there new location!
Always great food, I've been eating there at least once a month for 15+ years.
Gyro sandwich was good. The deficits are: you charge $1.50 extra for onion rings, but are very skimpy with them. Also, you don't itemize your bills. Mine was definitely wrong (overbilled), but it was impossible to see the error. I didn't bother trying to fix it. I just paid and left, which is why I suspect a lot of businesses do it this way . . .
Awesome...and the cheesecake 🤤🤤🤤
Good food and service. No drink menu
I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite places to eat in Conway. The food is great, new items have been added to the menu and they are amazing. I eat their salmon at least once a week and have always been pleased. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend!!
I would love to post a picture to show you my salad that was half a salad compared to the ones I’ve gotten from them in the past. I also asked for crackers and they provided three packages of saltines. Needless to say, the price hasn’t went down but the quality sure has. I believe that this will be my final purchase from this facility. Thank you for the past excellent salads I’ve had but this last one was way to expensive for what I received.
